Updated: Ex-Husband Reportedly Sets Pittsburg Woman’s Vehicle on Fire

At 8:34 pm Tuesday, Contra Costa County firefighters responded to the 2200 block of Leland Ct in Pittsburg on a report of a residential structure fire.

The initial report according to dispatch was the fire was started by the ex-husband of the female. It was also reported that the home, vehicle and a tree were on fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters located a fully involved vehicle fire int he driveway. By 8:42pm, firefighters had the fire out and the fire did not extend to the home.

Update Via Pittsburg Police

On Tuesday evening at 8:34 PM officers responded to a residence in the 2200 block of Leland Court in regards to a domestic disturbance where the ex husband was seen pouring an unknown liquid in the driveway of the residence and threatening to light a vehicle on fire.

Moments later a witness observed a fire in front of the residence that quickly spread to a nearby tree and a portion of the house.  Con Fire responded and the fire was quickly extinguished, no one injured as a result of the fire.

The suspect fled prior to police arriving on scene.  Fire Arson investigations responded to the residence and are assisting in the investigation.

Officers are attempting to locate the suspect responsible for this incident and probable cause for his arrest has been issued.
