Pittsburg: 10 Year Old Airlifted After Being Struck by Vehicle

At 7:50 am this morning, officers responded to the intersection of W. 10th Street and York Street for a 10 year old Marina Vista Elementary student that was stuck by a vehicle. The victim was walking across W. 10th Street with family members and was not seriously injured.

According to police, the boy was airlifted for further evaluation.

This incident should serve as a reminder about vehicle and pedestrian safety that should be adhered to at all times.

When driving by schools that are in session, I am amazed at how many drivers ignore the 25 mph signs.
