The Holiday Home Tour was a hit yesterday as attendees visited homes on the tour followed by a celebration at Hanna Nicole Vineyards with entertainment from the local schools followed by raffles and silent auctions. The event was put on by the Liberty Union High School District Foundation which raises money for the local schools.
This past July, the Foundation announced that it had donated over $110,000 in teacher grants since 1997. Judging by yesterdays event, even more will be awarded in the future. The purpose of the foundation is to enrich and enhance the educational programs for all students attending all five high schools (Liberty, Freedom, Heritage, La Paloma & Independence) in the Liberty Union High School District.
