The Oakley Chamber of Commerce put on a lovely event last night hosted by Brownstone Gardens in Oakley. The event appeared to be an increase in attendance from the past while the atmosphere was friendly with good food–plus, you can’t beat the hidden gem of Oakley being Brownstone Gardens.

I give Jimmy D’Amico, Black Bear Diner,  a lot of credit for keeping the event moving along with his humor and energy which is what the Chamber needs to grow.  He made the drawing of prizes a fun show.  Equally important was the Brownstone Garden staff on site who was friendly and provided a nice tour of the facility–the living wall is pretty darn neat if you ask me!

In attendance, the mixer had Oakley Mayor Kevin Romick, now a candidate running for re-election, Diane Burgis who announced she  is running for Oakley City Council. For higher office,  Mark Meuser who is running for State Senate against Mark DeSaulnier was in Oakley while Ricky Gill who is running for Congress against Jerry McNerney had a representative at the event.

Hear! Hear! Kay-Kay! Barbara did a fantastic job as well as Diana! Thanks Oakley Chamber for being there and thank you members and friends of members! We need more nights like last night to get the ball rolling to grow our Chamber…from members to attitudes! Thanks Mike!

Once I get my camera gear from Holland I plan to be behind the lens again instead of in front of one. 🙂
