East County welcomed back the Brentwood Farmers Market Saturday morning by packing downtown Brentwood to find fresh produce and local goods as the 2014 season kicked off.

At 10:00 am, kids joined Mayor Bob Taylor and Vice Mayor Joel Bryant and Councilman Gene Clare for a ribbon cutting that “officially” opened up the market.  Yesterdays event included free kids’ arts and crafts, fun promotional giveaways, musical entertainment, and enter to win contests for great produce prizes.

The farmers market will run on Saturdays between March 15 through November 22 between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm located at First Street between Oak and Chestnut.

About the Brentwood Farmers’ Market

The rich and verdant fields and orchards in the Brentwood area make it one of Northern California’s most productive agricultural areas and a perfect place for farmers’ market, where the fruits and vegetables are always fresh, delicious and locally grown.

Join your local Brentwood-area farmers at the Brentwood Farmers’ Market every Saturday morning, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

The market offers a taste of the Best of Brentwood with fresh seasonal produce from cherries in the spring, peaches in early summer, and tomatoes and corn in late summer. All of it just-picked and brought to the market by the farmers themselves for you and family.

Enjoy great food, live music and the company of your friends and neighbors every week at the Brentwood Farmers’ Market!
