day late and a dollar short???? Might have attended if there’d been notice PRIOR to the parade instead of AFTER. BTW, former mayor was Jim DAVIS, not david! You could use a proof reader.

@Kay – Let’s not be so high and mighty about the day late and a dollar short. Apparently while you were looking for spare change in your pocket, you missed the 11/9/13 post by East County Today where the Veterans Day events were listed. I will cut and paste for your viewing pleasure.

Kay, Did you miss the prior notification contained on this site? It was there in the weekend event listing around the 9th of November—several days before the event. I’m not quite sure why you are cross with a website (editor) that provides up to the minute news and events accompanied by dozens of great photographs. The local press and cctimes cannot compete with the news, photos and info provided here so why the complaining?

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the broom. You should check yourself before you wreck yourself!

Amazing photographs. Love to see such a wonderful event in my hometown. We need more events like this to show community pride.

I love the photos of the Veterans, helicopter and the parade participants. Nothing shows community spirit like a good old fashioned Veteran’s day parade. Great job Antioch!
