I was able to attend the Brentwood/Oakley Bark for Life event this morning which was a perfect event which was low key and a good time—I have to admit, my 6-month old kept smiling at all the dogs. I do not have official numbers, but according to their website, they had 27 participants (not including those who showed up this morning) and raised $1,065.00 to help fight cancer.
The event took place at O’Hara Park School in Oakley.

According to the Contra Costa Times, Roni Gehlke reported that Antioch/Pittsburg’s Relay for Life group will host its Bark For Life event on Aug. 18 at the foot of L Street at Marina Plaza.
That event so far has 6 teams registered and a total of $170 raised.
