The Antioch Police Department has confirmed that a person was found dead this morning behind the Save Mart Supermarket on Contra Loma Boulevard in Antioch. The incident occurred at roughly 5:41 am and was a suicide.
No further details were provided by APD.

It is sad when someone thinks that things are so bad that they have to resort to suicide. I presume the determination of the cause of death will be pending a Coroner’s hearing.
Usually an autopsy determines the cause of death, not a hearing

This man lived off and on with my parents…not sure where he stayed when he wasn’t staying w them…his name was Paul..

No. Two weeks ago a young man killed himself in the lucky parking lot in Oakley. Different store, same company.
SO SAD FOR THIS PERSON, HIS FAMILY, IN MY OPINION SOME PEOPLE RESORT TO DOING SUCH WHEN THEY FEEL ALL ALONE, CAN’T GET ANY HELP FROM ANY RESOURCES SUCH AS NONE PROFIT ORGANIZATION’S, COMMUNITY, CHURCHES, SOMETIME’S WE PEOPLE ARE IN A SITUATION SUCH AS HOMELESS, THEY SEEK HELP THEIR MADE TOO FEEL SO LOW, ARE LOOK DOWN UPON….SO MANY DON’T EVEN TRY TOO SEEK HELP TOO AVOID FEELING WORST THEN THEY ALREADY FEEL……, MY PRAYER’S TOO THIS PERSON, FAMILY, THIS IS BEYOND SAD …BEING THAT CALIF IS A PRETTY WELL OFF STATE!….

For a long time I have known how desperate Paul was. It is a horrible thing drug addiction does to a person. The monkey on the back gets too heavy to carry. The depression is all consuming. My prayers are for comfort for the family and friends. Very sad and heart breaking situation. God rest your soul Paul.
