Patient Airlifted to UC Davis After Being Kicked In the Head By Horse

At 4:00 pm Thursday, emergency crews responded to an accident in Oakley after a patient was reportedly kicked in the head by a horse and suffered a head injury.

The incident occurred on Broadway Lane off E. Cypress Road where the patient is reportedly to be a child. The patient was immediately transported to Ironhouse Elementary School by AMR where the patient was airlifted by helicopter to UC Davis.  Engines 93 and 94 responded.

No word yet on the age, sex, or condition of the patient.
