Park District Offers Affordable Outdoor Day Camps in East Bay

by ECT

The East Bay Regional Park District offers fun and affordable outdoor day camps for kids and youth at a number of convenient locations.

Park’N It Day Camp takes place in a different Regional Park each week, and offers hiking, fishing, arts & crafts, sports, environmental education, and swimming. This camp is designed for children ages 5 to 12.

East-Bay-Regional-Park-District-2Camp is just $200 for Alameda and Contra Costa residents. Enjoy hands-on experience under the care of the Park District’s highly-trained staff of recreation leaders, lifeguards, and naturalists.

If you’re a teen that enjoys being outdoors and likes working with kids, you could work with other teens in supervising young day campers and leading games, all while learning about careers in parks and recreation.

Leaders-in-Training get a hoodie, T-shirt, 35 community service hours, and a gift card with the successful completion of a weeklong session. Youth must apply and there is a $50 registration fee.
