Overturned Vehicle Crash Shuts Down 3-Lanes of Westbound Highway 4

At 2:39 pm Saturday, Contra Costa County Fire and CHP responded to a report of a two vehicle crash westbound Highway 4 between Bailey and Railroad in Pittsburg.

Upon arrival, CONFIRE located an overturned vehicle blocking 3-lanes of traffic.

No further information was available.

That area always has some sort of traffic mishap during the weekend and on weekdays as well. Ever see how those nutcases drive on that west and east-bound stretch? CHP needs to have their people stationed along that stretch permanently. One idiot pulls a stupid stunt and that causes others to try to swerve away from him and all hell breaks loose.

Yes! Some of the traffic problems occur on weekends when morons get out on the roads and cause havoc. What’s the problem with staying home on weekends and catching up on your sleep? Do you HAVE to be on the freeways? Stay home and get drunk!

They not only screw up the freeways on weekdays, but double up on doing this on weekends! Then, there is the BART problem where you have to deal with people who have very poor personal hygiene habits.
