At 2:14 pm Monday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a vehicle accident on Marsh Creek Road after a vehicle rolled over several times into an empty field.
A silver vehicle, for unknown reasons, drove off the roadway causing it to rollover causing major damage to the vehicle. Upon arrival, fire crews had trouble locating the victims but quickly found they self-extricated sitting near the incident.
As a precaution, a helicopter transport was used with full c-spin precaution on one patient and flown to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. A second patient refused medical treatment.
California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
