Oakley’s Steve Nosanchuk a Finalist in KGO “Love Story” Contest

Here is something fun for Valentines Day as Oakley’s Steve Nosanchuk is one of three finalist with KGO Morning News for the “Vote for your favorite love story” contest.

The KGO Morning News with Jennifer Jones Lee and Jon Bristow is giving one lucky listener and their guest a grand prize of a BlackJet Valentine’s Day excursion to Las Vegas for two, including BlackJet private jet seat service from San Francisco to Las Vegas, limo service to and from the jet, 3 night stay at the Bellagio Hotel, and $1,000 cash.

Story #3 (Steve from Oakley): Love at first sight is what I call this story. I saw my “future wife” for the first time in a class at junior college. She was sitting on the floor because of a lack of seating for everyone. Her hair was long and the most beautiful shade of auburn I had ever seen. Before I knew what I was doing, I jumped up and offered her my seat. She accepted and sat down (I took her place on the floor). For the rest of the time in class that day, I could not take my eyes off of her, but we had no further interaction for the rest of class. As it happened, I didn’t see her for a few days (even though I looked for her everywhere I went on campus). About a week later I was in the on-campus cafe. I was making my way to an open table. As I turned the corner I collided with…that’s right, you guessed it….HER! First thing I said was that I had been looking for her ever since that first day of class. I got a big smile and an invitation to sit with her for coffee. Fast forward 31 years (this August), we have two grown kids and I love her more today than ever. I was meant to meet her that day, of that I am sure.
