Oakley’s Farmers Market Launches Saturday

by ECT

The City of Oakley will host a certified Farmers Market starting Saturday, June 2nd in the City of Oakley Civic Center parking lot. The event will take place between 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The series will run from June 2nd through December 29 rain or shine with the exception of September 22 which is when Oakley hosts the Heart of Oakley Festival. The event is anticipating between 15-to-20 vendors.

The market will be operated by the All Bay Farmers Market Association which also operates markets in Discovery Bay, Alamo, Mountain House and Rio Vista.

“It’s a great opportunity for the City of Oakley to have its own farmers market. There’s a certain feeling of pride when a city gets their own,” said Bill Harlow, All Bay Farmers Market Association general manager.

For more information about the market or to become a vendor, contact Bill Harlow at (408) 831-8741 or email [email protected]. You may also follow them on Facebook.

Such a feeling of pride Antioch has trouble supporting one. Sad but I will drive to Oakley instead.
