Oakley: Woman Stabbed With Butcher Knife, Suspect Arrested

Just after 4:00 pm Saturday, Oakley Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 1300 block of Port Ct. in Oakley.

Police located a female with a knife in her upper-back. Firefighters arrived on scene to provide patient care and stabilize the knife in order to airlift the patient to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for treatment.

According to Sgt. Robert Roberts, the attack was believed to have been an unprovoked attack of a woman with a large butcher knife. He said they were lucky to catch the suspect that quickly in a case like this.

No suspect information was released, but Sgt. Roberts did say the suspect and victim were not related.
