The City of Oakley announced that upcoming construction on Main Street will result in the closure of the road. Here is a look at the closures:
August 23-25: 8:00 pm to 5:00 am
Main St will be closed at night between Norcross Lane to 5th Street in order for the contractor to pave the street in this section of Downtown. Work is being performed at night to minimize traffic impacts to the public.
August 27: 6:00 am to 1:00 pm
Main Street in the Eastbound direction will be closed from 3631 Main Street to 5th
Street on the morning of Sunday, August 27th from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for
placement of Slurry Seal. Main Street Westbound traffic will flow normal and it is
not impacted by the Slurry Seal operations.
August 28-31: 9:00 pm to 5:00 am.
Main Street will be closed at night on Monday, August 28th, Tuesday, August 29th,
Wednesday, August 30th, and Thursday, August 31st from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
between Norcross Lane to 5th Street for the contractor to raise all the utility manholes
and valves to grade.
Detours will be set up during these night operations to facilitate traffic flows. Notification flyers have been distributed to all properties along this section of downtown to inform them of the paving related operations
