At roughly 9:00 pm Sunday evening, a two car accident sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries after a vehilce collided into a pole at the intersection of Main Street and Cypress Road in Oakley.
Crews were on scene for nearly an hour as the incident originally came in as a technical rescue with drivers not getting out of their vehicles after airbags deployed. Upon arrival, all parties were outside their vehicles and a medical helicopter was cancelled in favor of two AMR ambulances after being treated on scene. Both victims appeared to be okay and were being transported as a precaution.
The road was shutdown in the westbound direction as Engine 93 and Engine 94 responded along with Oakley Police and AMR.
No details about the cause of the accident were provided on scene.
