Just after 9:00 pm Sunday, the Oakley Police Department responded to a report of a residential burglary attempt on Kings Canyon Way near Sierra Trail Road in the City of Oakley.

According to police, three suspects were attempting to break into a home and upon arrival, suspects fled. One officer was able to track down a suspect and take him into custody about 9 houses down the street while two others fled the scene.

A Pittsburg Police K9 unit and Danville Police K9 unit were both requested to the scene to track the suspects along with the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff. A short time later, a Danville Police K9 caught one suspect in an open field near Sellers Road. A third suspect was not caught as of midnight.

Police located two suspect vehicles with one carrying about $2,000 in cash. Both vehicles were towed.

Good job Officers. You’re keeping Oakley safe from these scumbags. Gotta a love a foot pursuit with a ghetto track star in his saggy pants.

THANK YOU OAKLEY PD! Also thank you to the officer who was in the foot pursuit. Thieves running from cops run FAST! So thanks for being in shape Sgt. Roberts to track down that baddie.

I have no problem with idiots wearing their pants below their butts! Once they try to fun, the pants slip down and stay around their ankles. Good luck trying to run! Hope the K9 doggie got a nice chunk of that puke! Be sure to have the dog tested for diseases.
