Oakley Reminds Residents That Graffiti is a Crime

by ECT

The City of Oakley has issued a reminder to its residents on social media that graffiti is a crime. In recent weeks, graffiti has been popping up around the city.  They encourage you to report

Graffiti is a crime! Graffiti devalues property, invites crime, & gives an impression that a community is an unsafe & undesirable place to live & do business. Kudos to our Police Department for successfully investigating & arresting the culprits involved with this damage. Residents, please keep calling in such instances. Together we’re making the statement that such behavior will not stand in Oakley. To graffiti in Oakley means jail time & big bucks in clean up costs.

If you do observe graffiti or a safety issue please call the Parks Division at (925) 625-7037.

If you observe someone breaking park rules, committing a crime or vandalism, or engaging in other illegal activities, DO NOT attempt to take action yourself. Please call the Oakley Police Department at (925) 625-8855.

What did Oakley expect from their deal with the devil. That it would bring family oriented neighborhoods and low crime? Low income housing is turning Oakley into Antioch real fast
