The Oakley Police Department is reporting that early Monday morning, officers responded to a vehicle burglary that had just occurred with thee suspects walking away on Forntes Way in the City of Oakley.

Police responded just after midnight after a neighbor reported three men breaking into his vehicle that was parked in front of his home. The neighbor reported the three subjects were now walking away from the home. As officers responded to the area, the neighbor provided offices with descriptions of the clothing worn by each of the subjects – making it easier for officers to locate them.

As officers arrived in the area, one of the subjects was immediately located and detained without incident. The two remaining subjects were located a short distance away by other officers. One of these suspects resisted being detained, but was eventually handcuffed by officers.

The three subjects were all identified by the witness as being the individuals he had seen breaking into his vehicle. All three were placed under arrest for auto burglary and conspiracy.

Police said after the individual who had initially resisted arrest was cleared by medical staff at the hospital, all three were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility (MDF). All three are residents of the City of Richmond. Officers later located the vehicle used by the suspects to drive to town. That vehicle was impounded and will be searched by OPD Investigators.

OPD Investigators are now working to connect these suspects with the other burglaries that we have had in town. Investigators know the suspects were on Fontes Way, Teixeira Way, Pecan Lane, and Ironwood Lane between 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.

Residents in this area are asked to check their home security systems to see if the suspects were captured on video in the area. Residents who have any information regarding this incident are asked to contact OPD Investigators at [email protected]

I’m sure they’re all just good waist level pants wearing boys enjoying a cool evening stroll. They were just making sure all was secure with the vehicle. nowhaimsayin
