Oakley Police Nab Chase Bank Robbery Suspect

by ECT

On January 30 at around noon, Oakley Officers arrested Chelsea Dee Lopez, 23, of Oakley after she attempted to rob the Chase Bank on 2335 Main St.

Ms. Lopez passed a note to a teller demanding money, but left the bank without taking anything. Officers spotted her moments later and arrested her for the attempted robbery. Ms. Lopez also had an outstanding arrest warrant connected to her robbery of this same bank on Dec. 7, 2015.

In that instance she did exit the bank with cash after presenting the teller with a note. Oakley Officers arrested Ms. Lopez a few days later, however a judge released her on her own recognizance. Thereafter, Ms. Lopez failed to appear in court.

At present, Ms. Lopez remains in custody.

Can someone explain to me how these judges keep releasing these criminals???? Why do the cops have to continue to re-arrest these scumbags over and over just so they get released by an idiot judge???

Attempted robbery is still bank robbery. Keep her in jail.

The Voters approved A.B. 47 and Prop. 109 which just threw the entire problem back into the taxpayers hands to deal with. Really nice but voters were stupid enough to vote for it.

That is pretty brave. Maybe there’ll be a heartfelt recovery story like in the movies, then she becomes an executive for Chase and instead robs the publics livelihood through foreclosures and such.

I love Oakley. Even our bank robbers are polite, they just pass notes.
