Just after 9:00 am Monday, the Oakley Police officers responded to a report of a vehicle striking a pole at Main St. and Neroly Rd.
Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that at gone up onto a curb and a vehicle resting against a pole at the Shell Gas Station. Police were directed to a male subject who had fled the vehicle and was detained by two citizens near a vineyard according to authorities on scene.
The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District were called to the scene after the vehicle was leaking fluid into a nearby drain. AMR also responded to provide patient care after the male subject had a cut on his head.
