Shortly before 4:00 pm Sunday, Neroly Road was shut down after a motorcyclist crashed near Omega Lane and required a medical transport to a local hospital.
The accident reportedly occurred after the female driving a motorcycle at an excessive speed lost control and made her way onto a side walk and missed trees and a light pole before crashing. Oakley PD were also looking into whether or not experience on a motorcycle played a role in the crash.
Another subject on a motorcycle was riding with her left the crash scene to get a truck to pick up the downed motorcycle. (Note – ECT was on scene for more than 40-minutes, he returned sometime after we left.)
The incident caused Oakley Police to provide one way traffic control as crews worked to clear the scene. A medical helicopter was requested, however, it was later cancelled.
