Oakley: Motorcyclist Airlifted to Local Hospital After Being Rear-ended

At 10:51 pm Saturday, East Contra Costa Fire responded to a report of a motorcycle crash which left one victim injured and transported by medical helicopter to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.

The crash occurred at Brownstown Road and Main Street in Oakley which Battalion Chief 5 while responding to another accident came across the crash.

According to Battalion Chief Jeff Burris, the accident occurred after a motorcycle rear-ended another motorcycle and found both riders down.

He immediately requested additional resources including a medical helicopter after possible injuries to the chest and shoulder but were not life threatening.

Due to limited resources, Engine 88 from Antioch responded to this crash along with Engine 94 (Knightsen) and Engine 52 (Brentwood).

The crash is under investigation by Oakley Police.
