Oakley Library: Kickoff Rally Set for “Yes on Measure K” Campaign

OAKLEY, (CA) – The New Oakley Library and Community Learning Center Committee is holding a rally kickoff for the “Vote YES on Measure K Campaign” on April 30, 2016. The rally will start at 10am and will be at the Downtown City Park Amphitheater, proposed site for the new library.

This rally is open to the public and will directly support efforts already underway by the Committee to share information about the benefits of the ballot measure and value of the proposed new downtown facility with voters.

Everyone is encouraged to come by and help start the campaign to “Building a Better Community” here in Oakley, check out the building site, get information, pick-up yard signs, volunteer to help, grab a bag of popcorn.

The Rally is being held to support community outreach efforts by members of the New Oakley Library and Community Learning Center Committee to connect with people of Oakley and share information on what Measure “K” means to this growing City and the urge a YES vote on the June 7, 2016 ballot.

The New Oakley Library and Community Learning Center Committee is a group of volunteers who are giving their time to address the issue of inadequate facilities and programs offered by the small library co-located at Freedom High School. They are dedicated Oakley residents who are supporting Measure “K” to create a new stand-alone library, which will build on existing programs as well as offer expanded services to seniors, business people, veterans, additional workstations for computers, WiFi, meeting room space, have dedicated child and teen areas, open space for display~ such as local art and a tech center computer lab.
