Pull out your Santa’s, sleighs, reindeer, lights and inflatables. The Hometown Holiday
Decorating Contest is back! The deadline to enter is Friday, December 8th by 5:00 p.m.
The entry form is available at www.ci.oakley.ca.us/recreation/hometowndecoratingcontest/.
The contest is open to any home within the City of Oakley boundary. However, decorations
installed by a professional service will not be eligible. Staff will verify the photos and
addresses submitted prior to photos being posted online for voting.
Photos of all received and qualifying entries will be posted online for the public to vote for their favorite between December 11th—15th. The winner will be announced on Monday,
December 18th.
Winners receive a $100 gift card to ACE Hardware, a sign lawn sign for their yard and of course, bragging rights.

Letters to Santa
Would you like to receive a letter from Santa? Oakley residents are invited to drop Santa a letter in the “North Pole” mailbox located in the lobby at City Hall, 3231 Main Street in
Oakley.
The mailbox will be open weekdays from now until Thursday, December 14th. Letters must include a self‐addressed, stamped envelope to receive a response. Santa is very busy so he is only able to write one letter per family.
