Oakley: Expired Tags Lead to Arrest After Foot Pursuit into Vineyard

Just before 11:00 pm Friday, the Oakley Police Department located a vehicle with expired tags in the area of Main Street and Empire before the car came to a stop in the 7-Eleven parking Lot.

While in the parking lot, the suspect, who was wanted on several warrants, foot bailed from the vehicle and took off from police. A short time later, a police helicopter arrived in the area and located the suspect in the middle of a vineyards. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and officers were processing the vehicle to be towed.

No further details were released on scene.
