Oakley: Driver Injured After Colliding with Pole on Main Street

by ECT

At 9:15 am Wednesday, Oakley Police and first responders responded to a vehicle into a pole on Main Street and Live Oak in Oakley.

It was originally reported as a woman trapped, however, no technical rescue was required after Engine 88 was able to remove the woman from the vehilce.  She was then transported to a local hospital.

As crews worked, a lane of traffic in the westbound direction was blocked by Oakley Police who controlled traffic at the intersection.

Note: Engine 88 (Antioch) responded as the closest engine because Engine 93 in Oakley was on Bethel Island for an investigation on Stone Rd.

No further details were released on scene.

Pole jumped in front of him. I have it on good authority the pole will be charged with the crime.
