Oakley: Boy Struck by Vehicle Airlifted with Serious Injuries

At 3:55 pm Tuesday afternoon, emergency personnel responded to a vehicle versus child accident at the corner of W. Cypress Rd. and Mellowood Drive in Oakley that resulted in one victim being airlifted via helicopter to a local hospital.

The child, who has not yet been identified was unconscious as crews worked on him. As he was transported to O’Hara Park Middle School for helicopter transport, his arm was “twitching” and moving, but the extent of his injuries were severe.

Information on how the accident occurred was not released at the scene.

Thanks for the report but judging from the pictures, I think the child is more like a young adult such as a teenager. I was not there at the scene so I am only stating my own personal view point.

The boy is a friend of mine he is about 15 and still in the hospital some what responsive.
