Oakley: 2-Year-Old Kicked in the Head by Horse, Airlifted to Local Hospital

At 7:47 pm Wednesday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was dispatched to Delta Road near Grant Road in the city of Oakley on a report of a two-year-old kicked in the head by a horse.

A medical helicopter was requested.

By 8:10 pm, the medical helicopter had landed and prepared to transport the child to a local hospital. By 8:17 pm, the helicopter lifted and transporting the child to UC Davis.
