Oakley: 15-Year-Old Boy Flown to UC Davis With Third Degree Burns

A 15-year-old male suffered second and third degree burns around 9:27 pm Friday evening as emergency crews responded to Tate Lane in Oakley.  The incident required a medical helicopter which transferred the boy to UC Davis.

According to the Battalion Chief Report, the injury covered roughly 70 percent of the patient’s body. Crews worked to monitor his airway while burn dressings were applied.

The incident involved a total of three victims with two additional minor injuries from what a source states involved an accident involving gasoline.

East Contra Costa Fire Protection District, American Medical Response, REACH,  and the Oakley Police Department all responded.
