Beginning on April 25 at 1:33 am, Antioch Police dispatch received numerous calls of vandalism to vehicles and homes concentrated in and around numerous Antioch neighborhoods. Additional reports have been made from other areas of the city.
The neighborhoods include:
- Mira Vista Hills
- Black Diamond Estates
- Diamond Ridge
Unknown suspects traveled through various neighborhoods and threw “river rocks” through the glass of vehicles and some homes.
As of noon on 4/25/2014, police officers have responded to approximately 25 calls related to this incident. Additional reports continue to be made to dispatch and via the on-line reporting system.
All of the incidents appear to have taken place during the night. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Antioch PD non-emergency line at (925) 778-2441. They may also text an anonymous tip to 274637 (CRIMES) using the key word Antioch in the body of the text.

Well Mr. Mayor things sure are getting better. If this is your idea of things getting better, I want out or you need to be replaced.
The Mayor?? What’s he have to do with this? There’s probably youngsters out causing mayham…..blame their parents!! ..if that’s the case!

I think Ray From Antioch was referring to the mayor’s ridiculous statement about Antioch crime getting better.
I agree with Ray. The mayor is doing a horrible job.
It is a reference to a comment the mayor recently made about the city.
It’s probably the stray cats getting together and raising havoc!!

If the mayor thinks things are getting better he should do a ride a long with one of the Antioch officers any night of the week. Take your pick Mr Mayor and open your eyes. Things are not getting any better. We have more crime than Pittsburg or Vallejo if even Richmond for that matter.
