National Weather Service Issues Heat Advisory Through Monday

On Friday, the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory through 8:00 pm Monday, September 26 throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

They expect temperatures to be in the mid-80’s to mid-90’s along the coast with highs in the lower 100’s for inland areas.

The weather service is warning that there are potential for hazardous conditions due to the heat for persons who are outdoors and are asking for precautionary/preparedness actions. The hot temperatures will create a situation which heat illnesses are possible. They are encouraging people to drink lots of fluids and stay in an air-conditioned room and out of the sun.

They are also asking for people to check up on relatives and neighbors and remind you never to leave children or pets in vehicles as temperatures can quickly reach very dangerous levels.
