We are happy to announce that during last nights Antioch City Council meeting, middle school student Hailey Hartrick was able to help raise $11,672 for the Antioch Police Department K-9 unit.
The $11,672 was an increase from our Dec. 12 article which highlighted she raised $6,200 during the fundraiser at Tailgaters Sports Bar in Antioch. At the time, her goal was $4,800 which would have bought all six-canines vests and equipment, but the community stepped up and raised additional funding for future purchases.

At last night’s City Council Meeting, the Antioch Police Department Canine Unit was presented a check in the amount of $11,672 to purchase ballistic vests for our K-9’s.
What makes this story even more amazing, the middle school student (Hailey Hartrick) raised these funds in a very short amount of time by holding fund raisers at local restaurants (Tailgaters), approaching service organizations such as Rotary and Kiwanis, as well as private donors.
The City of Antioch is lucky to have Hailey as a member of this community! On behalf of the Antioch Police Department, we thank you Hailey for your hard work and dedication that will help protect our police dogs, police officers, and citizens in OUR community!

Good job young lady you might want to think about being a fund raiseing money for your job you are good at it
Hailey is a perfect example of Service Above Self! The sky is the limit for her!!! Believe in yourself Hailey! At your young age, you already understand what commitment is! The City of Antioch Citizens are so proud of you!!! Keep up the great work!!!
