May 20-22: Brentwood Cherry Update

by ECT

Brentwood saw a couple days with temperatures above 90 degrees this week, meaning there’s a lot of ripe fruit to be picked. Salvador Family Farm and Seko Ranch will be opening this weekend. Brooks and Coral Champagne varieties are still bountiful, with Bing, Lapins, and Rainiers beginning to ripen.

Other Fruit: Peaches, Apricots, Nectarines, Berries, and Strawberries are now widely available throughout the growing region.

Who’s Open: Since crops mature at different rates on different trees, it may be necessary for some Orchards to close at various times. We may see this occur over the weekend. Based on our most recent information, the infographic below outlines which Orchards are open each day of the weekend. We’ve also indicated the Orchards opening for the first time this weekend. Please remember this information is subject to change based on demand and weather conditions.

Weather: Upper-60’s and Partly Cloudy with 50/50 Chance for Occasional Rain Showers
