by ECT

On Thursday May 11, at about 12:21 hours, Officers responded to WestAmerica Bank at 590 Center Avenue for a report of a robbery.

A suspect came in and presented a note demanding money.  The suspect was given money from a teller and fled on foot towards the Contra Costa Cinema.  The area was searched and a suspect matching the description was located inside Burger King at 7 Muir Rd.

Officers detained Dillan Woods (27 years old) and he was identified as the person who committed the robbery.  The stolen money was located and Woods was arrested for robbery.  Woods was also wanted by parole for parole violations.

He was booked into county jail for robbery and his parole violation warrant.

Way to go MPD. I wonder why Antioch PD has such a tough time catching criminals.

It’s as if they just let Antioch criminals slide.

*sigh*

I thought that with the new batch of elected city council members, Antioch would start improving. Well, that hasn’t happened. City Council members DO NOT respond to emails about problems. This is atrocious! What are they doing there? Just witting twiddling their thumbs? They promised all sorts of things . . well, so much for that.

Great job MPD. Burger King is across the street from the bank (my former bank) and he was obviously in no hurry to get away. Looking to go back to jail?

MPD has an excellent reputation with Martinez residents.

I was right outside of the cinema and he walked past me! He had to be on his way to the bank, I felt totally uncomfortable, he looked like he was up to no good.. i also saw him running back to Burger King with his hood on and saw the cops come! How scary!
