Martinez Announces Small Business Relief Micro-Grant Program

by ECT

MARTINEZ, CA – Today, the City of Martinez launched a COVID-19 Small Business Relief Micro-Grant Program for eligible storefront small businesses with 25 employees or less (with the exception of independently owned restaurants, which have no employee limit to be eligible for this program),as part of our continuing efforts to support our small businesses.

The program, approved through the Martinez City Council, will provide reimbursement grants of potentially up to $5,000per business for eligible COVID-19 related expenses, including certain expenses already incurred retroactive to the beginning of the pandemic.

If awarded, the grant is not required to be paid back by the business, nor does it require a matching contribution. The Martinez COVID-19 Small Business Relief Micro-Grant Program is designed to help storefront businesses continue providing food, retail goods, and personal services for our residents during this challenging time and in doing so, maintain the economic vitality of our community.

The Micro-Grant application deadline is Monday February 22, 2021and the link to the guidelines, eligibility requirements, and application form can be viewed here: Small Business Micro-Grant Program
