At 7:57 am Saturday, a vehicle crash has caused a SIGALERT to be issued on EB State Route 4 at Cummings Skyway with the number 1 and 2 lanes blocked.
As many as 8 vehicles were involved with debris across the roadway according to CHP.
By 8:25 am, a SIGALERT was issued. CONFIRE stated they 2 people were transported along with 5 patients who sustained minor injuries and declined medical treatment and 1 released on scene. They were still checking for additional injuries. had at least 5 patients
Update, by 9:00 am, Lane number 1 was blocked as Lane number 2 was open

What in HELL was going on??? Were these people playing PIN BALL? Who caused this crash? I hope he or she is arrested! This is total bedlam!
This is what happens when everyone is driving 85+ while tailgating and making lane changes like you’re playing video games.
MsKris I was involved in that crash and let me tell you before you go speaking on things get the facts. I was driving way under the speed limit and sure the hell wasn’t driving 85+ especially with my two kids in the back seat.
Michelle, please give us the story of what happened.
The fog was so bad and visibility was less then 10 feet. Three cars had crashed in front of me and were blocking both lanes. I literally had no where to go. I have no idea what had happened prior to us, but I can say that it’s pretty easy for people to sit on the side lines and speculate but why not have a little respect for those involved. We were on our way to spend the weekend together at a cabin, not only did we never make it but, now I have two little girls who are terrified of the car and are having nightmares at night. The sound of all the cars crashing behind us and the scene once the fog cleared was something that looked to be out of a horror movie. We all sustained minor injuries and will be OK but, when I saw those stupid comments above I couldn’t help but say something.
