Marsh Creek Road Work Extended Through August 12

On Tuesday, the Contra Costa County Public Works Department announced road work on Marsh Creek Road has been extended through August 12.

Although the roadwork was originally slated to be completed by August 5, Public Works explained that they currently performing road work on Marsh Creek Road from the Brentwood city limits at the Marsh Creek Reservoir to the Clayton city limits at Pine Lane.

The work is occurring Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and has been extended through August 12 to resurface the road. The speed limit is reduced to 25 miles per hour through the construction zone and there are signs advising motorists, motorcyclists and cyclists of the reduced speed limit and loose gravel. Electronic message boards are in place to alert drivers of the scheduled work.

There is traffic control through the work area and motorists, motorcyclists and cyclists can expect delays of 30-45 minutes.
