Marsh Creek Road Shut Down After 3-Acre Vegetation Fire

A vegetation fire that struck at 4:41 am Friday has shut down Marsh Creek Road and commuters are being encouraged to find alternate routes. The fire is located on Marsh Creek Road and near Bragdon Way.

According to Chief Hugh Henderson in an email timestamped at 6:01 am, the fire was contained to 3-acres, however, the roadway is closed.

As of 6:30 am, CALFIRE was requesting CHP close down the roadway at Marsh Creek Road and Camino Diablo as they were having a heavy traffic backup in the area of the fire.

Responding units from ECCFPD were Engine 52 and Engine 59 along with CALFIRE.

No further details have been provided.

Why don’t they have you turn around 10 miles before the fire?????????
