On January 17 at 9:38 pm, Antioch Police Officers were dispatched to the area of E. 13th Street near Simmons Street on the report of a vehicle collision involving a vehicle into a residence.
When officers arrived at the scene they discovered that the driver of the vehicle was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim died at the scene. The occupants of the residence struck by the vehicle were uninjured.
The victim is a 27-year-old Martinez Man, his identity was not released.
Antioch Police Investigators were called to the scene and are in the early stages of the investigation. No further information will be released at this time.
This is Antioch’s first homicide of 2017.
