Man Shot on Sycamore Drive, Antioch Police Find 40 Casings

At 7:00 pm Saturday evening, Antioch Police responded to gun shots in the Sycamore Drive area that left one man shot in the buttocks and requiring a medical transport. Police quickly taped off an area where they found up to 40-casings according to radio frequency. It is not known if they have a suspect or if anyone else was injured.

According to one witness, bullets came from the street and through some trees into the parking lot area and field. Another witness stated her three year old child was nearly hit by the shots.

TIME OF INCIDENT: 1855

LOCATION: 1600 block of Sycamore Dr

VICTIMS: 25 year old adult male

On 08.31.2013 at approximately 1855 hours a group of citizens were gathered behind the apartments in the 1600 block of Sycamore Drive for a block party. A vehicle was seen speeding west bound through the alley and an occupant of the vehicle fired several shots, striking the victim. The victim was transported to a local Hospital where he was treated for his injury and released. The investigation is still ongoing.

Just sad. Antioch needs to step up and take their city back. This council continues to do nothing but rely on more tax money.

Dron meant 40 casings, as was reported above. It is kinda funny that out of 40 rounds they only hit only one target. Not good for the individual that got hit.
