Man Arrested After Pursuit Ends in Vehicle Accident in Pittsburg Tuesday Morning

Casey Beck, 25,  of Antioch was arrested and booked on multiple charges after a police pursuit that ended in a vehicle accident at the intersection of Leland Road and Railroad Avenue.

According to Sheriff’s Office spokesman Jimmy Lee, at around 11:30 am Tuesday, Deputy Sheriff attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle near Clearland Circle in Bay Point. The vehicle immediately took off leading Deputies on a pursuit through Bay Point and into Pittsburg. While in Pittsburg, the suspect vehicle drove into oncoming traffic. Deputies terminated the pursuit at that point.

About a mile away, at the intersection of Leland Road and Railroad Avenue, the suspect vehicle collided with another car. The driver and a passenger in the suspect vehicle were injured and taken to the hospital. The occupants in the other car were treated and released at the scene.

The suspect vehicle was found to be stolen and Beck is facing charges that include: vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, felony evasion, possession of a controlled substance and probation violation.

His status is no bail according to Lee.
