Livermore Police Make Child Abuse Arrest Involving 13-Month-Old Boy

On Thursday, February 18, 2016, Livermore Police officers initiated an investigation into the report of a physical child abuse of a 13-month-old infant boy by the family’s caretaker.

In the early morning hours of February 19th, Livermore police detectives took over the investigation into the alleged child abuse. Detectives ultimately arrested 20-year-old, Moriah Gonzales of Livermore for 273a(a) PC – Felony Child Abuse. Moriah Gonzales was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

On Friday, February 19th, LPD Detectives presented the case to the Alameda District Attorney’s Office. The District Attorney filed one count of 273a(a) PC against Moriah Gonzales.

LPD is seeking the community’s assistance. During this investigation, LPD Detectives learned Moriah Gonzales advertised her care taking services on Care.com. If anyone utilized Moriah Gonzales’ services or know of a person who used Moriah Gonzales for care taking, please contact LPD at (925) 294-7531.
