On April 4, at approximately 7:00 PM, a victim reported she was walking to her vehicle in the 2100 block of Third Street in Livermore. As the victim approached her vehicle, a male subject, later identified as Logan Masterson, approached her.
Masterson was holding a handgun and pointed it at the victim and demanded the keys to her vehicle. The victim feared for her safety and gave the keys to Masterson. Masterson got into the vehicle and fled.
The victim immediately called the Livermore Police Department and reported that she had been carjacked. Livermore Police Officers located the vehicle traveling northbound on North Livermore Avenue at Las Positas Road. Officer attempted to stop the vehicle and Masterson fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle exited the Greenville Road exit and continued to flee eastbound on Altamont Pass Road. Officers continued to pursue the vehicle and Masterson stopped in the right-hand shoulder.
Masterson resisted arrest while being detained and was taken into custody with further action.
Officers located two handguns in the vehicle Masterson had carjacked. Another victim later reported a residential burglary and the two handguns and other property Masterson had in his possession were taken during the burglary.
Masterson was arrested for carjacking, felon in possession of a firearm, burglary, felony reckless driving, resisting arrest, possession of stolen property, and possession of prohibited weapons.

Yes Lots of wins!! However Californians liberal justices system, will only insure it will happen again. However next time out familes maybe on the losing end.
I’d fear for my safety if someone pointed a gun at me. Glad she wasn’t hurt.
