Letter: Klement Says Claudette Staton a Good Choice for Brentwood City Council

by ECT

Dear Editor,

My name is JoAnn Klement and I have had the privilege of knowing Claudette Staton for the past 10 years and I am proud to call her a friend. Claudette is running for a seat on our Brentwood City Council.

Claudette has been involved in serving the city and residents of Brentwood since 2003.

Claudette holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and is a licensed California Real Estate Broker and the owner of Key Realty here in Brentwood. She has over 10 years experience in banking and finance  and is the founder of the International Orphan Relief Foundation which is a non profit here in Brentwood. At Christmas the Foundation provides food, new pajamas, toys and books to families in need in Brentwood.

Claudette is also a Board Member of the Village Resource Center and she joined the Brentwood  Neighborhood Committee in March of 2006 and has held various positions on that committee.

Claudette was appointed to the General Plan Working Group from 2013 to 2014 and was appointed to the Brentwood Planning Commission in 2015 and currently still holds that position.

Claudette completed the Brentwood Police Department Community Response Team Program, C.E.R.T. in 2008.

She received the Agape Villages Foster Family Certificate of Accomplishment in 2008 and the West Contra Costa School-to-Career Partnership Certificate of Appreciation and has been a member of the Oakland Association of Realtors since 2004.

Claudette’s work experience, sense of giving back and her love of Brentwood make her a perfect candidate for Brentwood City Council.

I will be casting my vote on November 8 for Claudette Staton for Brentwood City Council.

JoAnn Klement
Chair, Brentwood Neighborhood Committee
