At 12:43 pm Sunday, a vehicle crash in the eastbound direction of Highway 4 has block lanes of traffic.
CONFIRE arrived on scene and were blocking the No. 1, 2 and 3 lanes with multiple vehicles also on the side of the road. Occupants were out of vehicles.
According to a witness, they say a Mustang & Porsche were racing alongside a blue truck prior to the crash. The blue truck continued away from the crash scene.

Piece of shit ? idiots they should lose there licenses forever
They should be arrested, tried and put in prison for a long time. They were endangering lives and property.
These a$$holes don’t realize that their cars are not set up for that kind of driving I watched a guy racing the other day near Baypoint Bart he pulled a lane change right as he went over a bump, his car was completely unweighted as he swerved and almost completely lost control at about 90, it would have been carnage for sure, but he and his buddy just kept on going dicing in and out of traffic. You can’t fix stupid you just have to get it off the road. Take the car the license and jail time for racing should be the automatic penalty.
Iam so tired of the cars racing on Highway 4…I’ve made so many phone calls to CHP after almost being crushed from cars racing. Something needs. To be done. This happens everyday and night…not a cop in sight!!!!!!
We need more police and CHP on the streets and freeways to catch these idiots. You really are endangering your life and that of your passengers out there today. Law enforcement should be spread out in a manner where it’s easy for them to get to an area where people are doing stupid things after this is reported. Time is of the essence. It’s not if this happens to you, but WHEN it happens.
I see this every time I’m on hwy 4. When out of town you don’t usually see this kind of driving. Something must be done. I’m so tired of them swerving/speeding in and out of traffic. I’m surprised there haven’t been more deaths.
Everyone keep calling CHP. More people call and complain, more patrols you will see. Agree, way too many losers with a license and not wanting to work.
Yes! The CHP must be called by as many people as possible EVERY SINGLE DAY to report people racing and also the people driving ALONE in the HOV lanes! They should all be ticketed and charged for court appearances. These fines could generate enough money to hire more CHP officers.
