At 8:00 pm Saturday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District were dispatched to a report of a vehicle crash on a potential water rescue.
The incident occurred on Holland Tract Road at Delta Road in the Town of Knightsen.
Upon arrival, Battalion Chief 5 reported a vehicle was halfway into the water with no patient. The patient, according to multiple witnesses, fled the scene by jumping in another vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
