Thank you Antioch City Council for wasting our money on a tax measure that passed with little doubt. Maybe next time the Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem and the rest of the council will put their ego’s at rest and actually listen to the public.

Monica Wilson sure took a dump. She couldn’t even pull 10% with all that money and outside support? Writing on the wall for her city council run

Glad the Oakley Library failed. Waste of money for residents and the funds should go to the fire district.

Have to agree with Jim Simmons. Now maybe Harper and Wilson will see the writing on the wall. Well done Steve Barr!

Steve Barr barely edged out the pack, given that he put so much effort and signage into the primary. The numbers don’t look good for him going forward and the way this plays out the second place candidate (Burgis) will probably win first place in November. If you look at the likely votes that will go to Burgis over Barr, it becomes obvious.

The late results showed Barr’s slender lead diminish. Voters likely became aware that Burgis was the better candidate. If you attended a debate like I did, it was clear she knew the issues much better than all of the other candidates. Barr demonstrated why he has a weak record.

Wade Harper and Monica Wilson came in where everyone expected based on their effort, backing and accomplishments. I think their political careers are short term even in their home town Antioch.

I heard from many people that the more Doug Hardcastle talked the less they were likely to vote for him. Lack of trust, political awkwardness and his one dimensional attitude lost him this race.

Mary Piepho and many others were smart to back Diane Burgis. Congratulations Diane, you will win with ease in November.

Steve Barr cleared 20 percent more votes than dirty money Diane Burgis. East county voters showed intelligence and desire to have Steve Barr as the next Supervisor. People are done with Piepho politics or anyone connected to her. It’s now about the residents of east county and not self serving politicians. Great choice east county. Congratulations Steve Barr.

I thought you promised not to respond to me. Typical liar like all your other aliases and politicos.

You are the proverbial tool. Maybe you will figure it out. My responses are not for your benefit. Keep losing up those softballs and I’ll keep smacking them over the fences…
