On Saturday, the Antioch Rotary Club hosted their Third Annual Bunny Hop 5k Race where Johnnie Sanders of Pittsburg won the race with a time of 17:59 followed by Jordan Neneses Reyes of Walnut Creek at 18:04 and Dustin Needham of Oakley at 19:17.
The race was held at the Dow Wetlands and had 400 participants as part of the fundraiser event followed by a kids fun run for ages 6 and under.
Also participating in the event was officers from the Antioch Police Department SWAT team and Antioch City Councilwoman Monica Wilson.

- Brentwood21:40 – Y. Gonzalez, Avenal
Antioch Police Officer Desmond Bittner was the top cop in the race with a time of 22:42 with Tom Smith at 23:13 minutes and Robert Meads at 24:28 minutes. Several other officers also competed in the race to show support for the Rotary Club and the community.

After the race, the Rotary Club presented a $500 check to the Deer Valley High School Band Booster Club as Deer Valley performed prior to the race starting.
The event provided medals for top 3 participants in each age group. Plaques were provided to the top overall male and female runners.
